EduManage Pro ("we", "our", "us") operates the school management platform at https://www.schoolmg.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that schools, staff, and students provide directly:
- Staff accounts: Name, email, phone number, role, profile photo, signature
- Student records: Name, admission number, date of birth, gender, parent/guardian contact details, class enrollment, academic scores
- School data: School name, logo, address, academic sessions and terms
- Google Calendar (optional): When staff connect Google Calendar, we store an authentication token to create and manage timetable events. We only access calendar event creation — we do not read existing calendar data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the school management platform and its features
- To generate academic reports, transcripts, and result cards
- To send timetable reminders via Google Calendar (when connected by the user)
- To send school communications and notifications
- To manage fee records and attendance tracking
3. Google Calendar Integration
Our app uses the Google Calendar API to create timetable period reminders for teachers. When you connect your Google account:
- We only request permission to create, edit, and delete calendar events (
calendar.events scope)
- We do not read your existing calendar events
- We store a refresh token securely in our database to maintain the connection
- You can disconnect at any time from the Timetable page, which revokes our access
- We do not share your Google data with any third parties
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords, CSRF protection, and secure session management. All data is stored on secured servers and access is restricted to authorized school administrators.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. Data is only accessible to:
- The school that owns the data (administrators and authorized staff)
- Students viewing their own records
- Google (only calendar event data, when the user opts in)
6. Data Retention
School data is retained for as long as the school maintains an active account. Schools can request data deletion by contacting us.
